FAQ

Using ClearFlow

Do I need my own API keys?

No. With ClearFlow Membership you sign in with your email and it works, no keys needed. If you’d rather pay as you go, use your own keys: your content goes directly to the service providers, not through ClearFlow, and there’s no subscription. API key setup

Does it work without keys?

Yes. The local rules still hide replies with referral links or hidden contact details, and the same line posted by several accounts. Translation and detecting abuse, sexual content and replies like “nice” need ClearFlow Membership or an OpenRouter key.

Will it hide useful content?

Sometimes. You can see why content was hidden, open the original or report a mistake. Filtering levels are set separately for each site. Choose “Relaxed” in Settings if too much is hidden.

Which sites and browsers?

X, Reddit, YouTube, Xiaohongshu (RedNote) and Hacker News. Chrome 120 or later, plus Edge, Arc, Brave and other Chromium browsers.

Which languages are supported?

The interface supports 19 languages. Settings and the popup follow your browser language. In-page labels and translations usually follow the site’s interface language. Hacker News always uses your browser language, as do other sites when their interface language cannot be detected.

Why are some posts on X not translated?

On X, ClearFlow enhances X's own translations: it only works on posts X has already translated automatically, replacing poor translations and filling in author replies X skipped. Posts X doesn't translate are left as they are.

Is it affiliated with X or YouTube?

No. ClearFlow is an independent open-source project, not affiliated with X, Reddit, YouTube (Google), Xiaohongshu or Y Combinator.

How do I report a problem?

Use Feedback in the extension's settings, open an issue on GitHub, or write to developer@ohmyai.app.

Membership and usage

How is membership different from using my own key?

The features are the same. With your own key, content goes straight to OpenRouter and never through us. With membership, it goes to ClearFlow's server first, which passes it to the same providers. Membership doesn't check images.

What is the usage allowance?

With membership, we pay the AI providers for you, so there's a monthly usage allowance and a daily limit, so a month's allowance can't go in one day. The extension shows how much of this month's allowance you've used.

What happens if I run out?

AI filtering and translation pause until the next day or the next month, and local rules keep working. You can also switch back to your own key at any time.

Payments and support

How do I cancel?

On your account page or Waffo's billing page. Your membership stays active until the end of the period and doesn't renew.

How do refunds work?

Within 7 days of your account's first purchase, you can get a full refund from your account page or by emailing us.

Who handles payment? Do I get an invoice?

Payments are processed by our online reseller Waffo (Waffo.com Limited). As merchant of record, Waffo takes the payment and handles invoices and taxes; we never see your card details. Prices are in US dollars and include tax.
