How to get the keys
ClearFlow uses two pay-as-you-go services, one key each. Both are your own accounts, paid to them directly. After installing, a setup page opens where you paste the keys; later you can change them under Settings → Connections and cost.
TypeSafe: judging replies
For cleaning- Open the TypeSafe console, sign up and sign in.
- On the Keys page, create a key and copy it.
- Paste it into the “Jev (TypeSafe)” field in ClearFlow's settings.
Billed by tokens. ClearFlow asks only a few yes/no questions per reply, and doesn't ask about the same content again for 7 days.
OpenRouter: translation
For translation- Open openrouter.ai, sign up and sign in, and add credits on the Credits page.
- On the Keys page, click Create Key. Setting a credit limit (say $2, resetting monthly) is a good idea.
- Copy the key (it starts with sk-or-) into the “OpenRouter” field in ClearFlow's settings.
Translation uses an OpenAI model by default, with DeepSeek as fallback; you can change it in Settings.
Once they're in
A working key gets a check mark. If one doesn't work, Settings says why and offers “Test connection”.
One key is fine too
TypeSafe only: cleaning, no translation. OpenRouter only: translation, and cleaning uses the local rules. Neither: local rules only.
Keep your keys safe
Keys are stored only in your browser. Don't send them to anyone, including us. If one may have leaked, delete it in that service's dashboard and create a new one.
